Effective February 3, 2023, a change to our XPR torches was implemented to improve reliability of the electrical connection between the electrode and the cathode inside the torch head.
The change addresses torch life issues produced by a loose electrode condition and involved an internal modification in the torch (not visible to the operator) and the new electrode design that we announced and implemented in December 2022.
The new XPR torch heads include a differentiated mark “+++ “, making it easier to identify the updated design in the field.
