Phoenix Release for EDGE Connect CNC Software

Hypertherm Associates has released a new Phoenix® CNC software version 10.21.0 for EDGE® Connect CNC. This is a planned software update. New features and enhancements to existing features include:

Single installer – Phoenix Version 10 Simulation (SIM) software can now be installed with the same EDGE Connect Suite Installer that is used to install all necessary applications on a CNC. Refer to this PDF for the installation instructions.

Automatic ProNest HASP license detection – For machine owners that also use ProNest® nesting software for programming jobs on a PC (v15.0.3 or newer), EDGE Connect can now, on a networked EDGE Connect, discover any ProNest(R) HASP license and will automatically enable the optional paid ProNest CNC Automatic Nesting (module 263). When a license is found, the True Shape automatic nesting module is enabled in ProNest CNC allowing for the nesting of one or more parts/shapes.

ProNest Production Manager web app on the CNC – Customers that have at least one ProNest Production Manager license can now launch the Production Manager web app on the CNC. This allows CNC operators to view a job queue, monitor job status, and more. To find out how to set up and use the Production Manager web app on an EDGE Connect CNC, refer to the knowledge base article.

EDGE Connect Launcher– The EDGE Connect Launcher is now embedded in the Phoenix.exe which allows CNC operators to see a sequence of status messages during the startup process.

Phoenix password dialog window – Improvements have been made to the Phoenix password dialog window. Users can press the “eye” icon and see the password that they are typing.
