It is with mixed feelings that I inform you that Theo Cornielje retired on December 31, 2022. Theo has been with Hypertherm for 23 years and served in several different marketing- and sales leadership roles, for both the plasma and the waterjet side of our business. We are very grateful for his many, many valuable contributions to our company over the years. While we will be missing Theo, we are also very happy for him. Please join me in congratulating Theo on his well-deserved retirement and in wishing him well in his exciting next chapter.
It is a great pleasure to share in this same announcement that Georgios Gkatzimas is taking over from Theo as our Director, Waterjet and Software Sales EMEIA (Europe, Middle East, India and Africa), leading our sales team with the main focus on our OMAX and nesting software product lines. We are excited to have the talent within our company to take over this important role and responsibility. Georgios has been with Hypertherm for over 22 years. Over his tenure he held leadership roles within the EMEIA region in Sales Support, Consumable Sales, Distribution Sales and Customer Engagement. He has been instrumental in developing and implementing our consumable retention and recapture and our End User Experience Strategies. He is very excited to take on his next challenge and help you grow the waterjet business. Georgios will be reporting to undersigned.
