We are pleased to announce the availability of a new water filtration and softener kit for XPR. This kit is an addition to our existing water filter kit, 428810. These kits are offered for customers with water particulate and/or hardness issues.
For customers that use water as a shield fluid in VWI and OptiMix applications, we specify the water purity requirements in our system manuals. For sites with water that exceeds our recommendations, these kits will help to remove excessive mineral deposits, which can shorten consumable life and impact arc stability.
These filter units are external to the power supply and can be located anywhere between the water source and gas connect console.
In addition, to help end users determine their water purity, we offer a TDS (total dissolved solids) meter that measures the amount of solids in water or other solutions.
