The Hypertherm Associates Heavy Industrial Team is proud to share that several important enhancements have been made to XPR® torch leads.
The first phase of changes took place at the end of March. These included the addition of witness marks in the tubing, an increase of 25mm (1”) to all perimeter electrical/ fluid conductors to reduce the mechanical tension during cutting motion and the addition of an elastic support band to hold proper lead orientation and allow for free movement of the lead.
The second and final phase includes the use of an InsulTHERM® lead cover which provides easier routing and prevents the lead from sticking. We also added strain reliefs for the pilot and ohmic leads to improve durability during cutting motion which is especially beneficial on 3D applications. These final changes are effective August 15, 2023. A new FSB with part number 10082293 will be attached to each lead that ships with updated installation instructions.
