Hypertherm will stop accepting orders for Powermax65®/85/105 systems on October 29 of this year as we prepare to replace these 65/85/105 amp systems with our new Powermax SYNC™ series.
Our Powermax65/85/105 systems have been serving customer needs in many applications since their release between 2010 and 2012. As always, Hypertherm will continue to support these systems with parts, consumables, and service for a minimum of seven years once production ends.
In addition, we have developed a torch adapter for the Duramax® and Duramax Lock torches found on many of our Powermax systems. This adapter will make it possible for owners to convert from the standard 5-piece consumable stack-up to the new single-piece cartridge consumable platform.
Based on the current backlog situation, we encourage partners who have access and have received Powermax SYNC training to contact customers who are waiting for a Powermax65/85/105 and provide the option of switching to a Powermax SYNC. In support of order conversion, we are accepting pre-orders for Powermax SYNC systems beginning on November 1, 2021. Hypertherm will start to ship pre-ordered systems on January 17, 2022. Furthermore, there are no penalties for canceling Powermax65/85/105 orders. Standard re-stocking fees and criteria for any returned product will apply; in conformity with the Channel partner agreement.
