New XPR firmware upgrade

New XPRTM firmware for the control board and web interface tool are now available. Improvements in this release are the addition of 220 amp O2/Air processes and a schematic view on the Gas System diagnostic web page. In addition, this release eliminates a current override value of 0 (zero) amps. After the XPR is updated, the new firmware will look as follows:

Again this update is only for the control board and web interface tool. The torch connect, gas connect, and chopper firmware remains the same.

Important notes:

1. The XPR Cut charts are now updated to “Rev. P”. In addition to the 220A process database release, we have also made the following updates:
• 300A O2/Air, 10mm an 11mm (3/8″) process release
• 170A N2/N2, 6mm-9mm (1/4” – 5/16”) aluminum, arc voltage update
• 60A N2/N2, 6mm-9mm aluminum, arc voltage update
• 60A N2/H20, 3mm-5mm stainless steel, arc voltage update

220A O2/Air TRUE Hole capability is included with the launch, True Bevel is not part of this release.

These process improvements are embedded with EDGE® Connect and ProNest®. Please contact your Hypertherm Product Application Engineer as soon as possible to update XPR cut charts in non-EDGE Connect CNCs.

2. Under the Gas System diagnostic menu, service technicians can choose between the standard “Text view” and a new “Diagram view”. The Diagram view provides pressure information in PSI or BAR with an improved visual representation of the XPR gas system. This functionality is only enabled in the XPR web interface tool. It is not yet available on the EDGE Connect’s diagnostic screen.
3. Updated versions of the CNC Communication Protocol (809810), XPR Cut charts IM (809830) are available on Hypertherm’s Xnet:, as is a coordinated Phoenix® software release (version 10.17.0).
