2020 Hypertherm Price List and Commercial Update

Dear Hypertherm Partners,

Attached please find instructions for obtaining your 2020 Hypertherm pricing updates, effective January 1, 2020. While our price adjustments vary by product line, the weighted average increase is a modest 1.5%. These adjustments are primarily based on product lifecycle management, with a small impact from inflation and other targeted adjustments. As always, we look forward to working with you to sell the value of Hypertherm’s products to our mutual customers.

We continue to emphasize growth – for you and for us – via customer-focused product and service innovations. Since last year’s annual letter, we have launched the new XPR170 plasma system, relaunched our ProNest® LT CAD/CAM nesting software targeting light automated cutting applications, released a major update to our Robotmaster® robotic programming software, and acquired OMAX® to significantly strengthen and expand our position in waterjet cutting. In addition, we continue to see strong market growth of existing products including the MAXPRO200 and our Powermax specialty consumables, which solve targeted cutting and gouging problems for customers. Our focus on partner and customer training is yielding results and are pleased to have just reached the 100,000 user mark of our online training platform, Hypertherm Cutting Institute.com.

Our Customer Experience strategy remains an important focus. Our goal is that 100% of Hypertherm customers achieve optimal cutting outcomes, and we know that we can only achieve this in close partnership with you. The next step we are taking is to formalize our business partnerships via a formal agreement and supporting policies. These documents define roles and responsibilities, for you and for us, to raise the level of service that we jointly deliver to customers. Our intent with these changes is to enable our partners who want to compete on value to win sales that otherwise may have gone to a price-based, low-service seller. We strongly believe this is in the best interest of the end user, our high-performing partners, and Hypertherm. We will also begin asking you to rate our performance as your business partner so that we may identify additional ways we can continue to improve.

As I said last year, even as we continue to increase our emphasis on improving customer outcomes, we remain committed to prospering together with you, and we remain ever thankful for the continued strength and mutual loyalty of our partnership.

With best wishes for a strong finish to 2019,

Reese Madden
