XPR300® Firmware update

Effective on July 9, 2018, a new revision of our XPR firmware, rev. H, will be available for download from Xnet. One of the benefits of the new firmware is that XPR users will be able to update their XPR components via the Wi-Fi function rather than having to go into the power supply and transfer files via a USB. To do this, the user needs to follow instructions as outlined in the attached FSB. It is also very important to note that if XPR users use ProNest® 2019 and/or the EDGE Connect CNC that they update their software there, as well.

A second improvement is that the firmware includes process IDs for a new 50 amp oxygen process.

In addition to these key improvements there are numerous additional benefits. See below for a list of all enhancements:

1. Over the air (Wi-Fi) firmware updates for all boards and bootloaders.
2. 50 amp processes added (process IDs 1060 and 1061)
3. 18 slpm setting for OptiMix purge to eliminate errors (40) on low current consumables
4. Board ID scheme to detect revision of board and features on future board revisions
5. Added new objects to EtherCAT object dictionary to support SDO complete access (enables more efficient/faster communications)
6. For safety, created gas override protection to limit H2 flow rate to less than half of total flow rate.
7. Ignore low shield inlet pressure errors during leak check to eliminate false errors.
8. Do not clear chopper over temp errors or other errors in the main control, unless they are also cleared in the local node that created the error
9. Create a new error code showing that fans have dropped below a threshold speed
10. Change checking of solenoid faults to avoid false positive reading
11. When doing a manual leak check, go back to initial check state (won’t let you cut) unless a process is selected.
12. Corrected a few temperature scaling errors in the smart fault details.
