In the coming weeks you will notice a visual change to many of our XPR electrodes and one of our retaining caps. We have made the seat of our electrodes slightly longer in anticipation of an upcoming product enhancement. This new design is backwards compatible with existing torches so there is no need to clear inventory or change your plasma cutting process and part programs. In addition, our engineers have specified a design change to one of our retaining caps, part no. 420365. Instead of small repeating X’s on the exterior, the new retaining cap will have wide vertical ridges. This change will improve product performance, grip, and handling and significantly reduce plastic waste.
