XPR electrode torque tool – 429013

Effective on June 9, 2020, Hypertherm began including the electrode torque tool with all XPR units.  The purpose of including the 429013 electrode torque tool with the XPR units is to prevent the improper installation of the electrode which can result in torch damage or failure.

Although the XPR QuickLockTM electrode is fast and easy to install, it is not a tool-less design. The electrode must be properly tightened using the 104119 round tool or 429013 torque tool. The advantage of the 429013 tool is that it is pre-calibrated at 2.5Nm  as indicated in the instruction manual, this eliminates guesswork while installing the electrode. This is especially good option for locations with a high turn-over of operators, where training for proper electrode installation procedure can be challenging.

All XPR systems currently being produced include the 429013 torque tool inside the marketing kit, this was cut into production on June 9, 2020 beginning with the serial numbers shown below.

Power supply Serial number
XPR 170 XPR170-000742
