Maintenance Release | EDGE® Connect CNC Software

We are pleased to announce Phoenix CNC software maintenance release version 10.15 for EDGE Connect CNCs, to both the production line and for download via the Hypertherm.com website.

This quarterly software maintenance release contains new value-added feature enhancements and resolution to several reported field issues.

Some key highlights of this release:

• Added a measurement type parameter to the flange slice in simple shapes allowing users to select radius or diameter for the outer and inner dimensions.

• Added the ability to Disable the Return to Start message and corresponding motion at the end of a part program through the Special Setups and wizard list. This capability was added to give customers the ability to choose how the machine behaves at the end of the cutting sequence. With the Return to Start message disabled, when the part is complete the machine will stay in the current position and, also, will not provide the operator the option to automatically return home.

• The EDGE Connect Suite Installer now includes XPR™ Rev. N firmware. For details of what is included in the firmware please see the XPR product announcement.

Note: As of Phoenix 10.12 the capability to update the XPR Firmware over EtherCAT (FoE) on XPRs with firmware Rev. M or higher is possible. This is particularly relevant now as an updated XPR firmware release is being launched in conjunction with the Phoenix 10.15 update. XPR users, please note that to begin using EtherCAT (FoE), your existing XPR firmware version must first be manually updated to Rev M or higher using USB or WiFi and all bootloaders must be done by WiFi. For more details see application note 810720.

Please review the release notes document for important details regarding this software update, including resolutions provided and related installation procedures.

In addition to the Phoenix Suite Installer release, updates have been made to the HTML Help file, cut charts and EDGE Connect Suite Installer. Please install these updates with the Phoenix 10.15 software.

Software updates for EDGE Connect CNCs have an anticipated release at the end of each quarter. Additional interim releases are also possible based on critical field requirements.

As is always recommended, ProNest nesting software and XPR™ and HPR® system users should confirm they are using the latest software and plasma system firmware update, to ensure optimal outcomes.
