Tubing change for external boost pump assemblies

Hypertherm is changing the low-pressure tubing used in our external boost pumps. The waterjet quality team discovered that the tubing used in the assemblies was too rigid for the application. This rigidity was preventing the push-to-connect fittings from sealing in some cases, causing water to leak. To resolve the issue, the tubing is changing to a softer material to allow the push-to-connect fittings to seal.

The previous tubing used in the assemblies was red nylon tubing. Following this change, we will use more flexible black poly tubing. Systems with red nylon tubing do not need to be updated unless there is an issue with leaking. If an issue is discovered, please contact sales support or technical service to address the issue.

Boost pump assemblies affected: 1-16016, 1-16017, 1-16018
