We are pleased to announce that we now have 4 redundant style pumps in our Predictive pump line:
These pumps include all the features of our new Predictive line along with the inherent benefits of a redundant intensifier waterjet pumping system. To accommodate the Seal Maintenance Technology™ these systems incorporate additional tubing that routes weepage from both intensifiers to the SMT’s optical measuring system – recognizing that only one intensifier is operational at a time. Having redundant SMT (Seal Maintenance Technology) tubing makes switching from one intensifier to the other similar to our “old” redundant pumps, i.e. those manufactured prior to the Predictive line.
For approximately the next 2 months, a manual insert will be included with redundant pump shipments. After that, we are planning to incorporate a separate “redundant” tab in the standard Predictive line manual. In the meantime, please note the differences as delineated below:
Differences between the Predictive redundant and Predictive non-redundant:
• Top Cover – 1x transparent acrylic/plastic vs. 2x wing-style sheet metal on redundant
• High pressure water – Additional intensifier with 2x three-way valves the user must open/close depending on which intensifier they are running
• Hydraulic fittings – 2x three-way valves installed on hydraulic manifold that the user must open/close depending on which intensifier they are running
• Drip Containment – there are twice as many drip trays and drip tubes because the 2nd intensifier has its own
Differences between the HyPrecision redundant and the Predictive redundant:
• The Predictive pumps have 1 set of proximity cables so the user must switch back and forth between intensifiers as appropriate
• The Predictive pumps have 1 set of intensifier supply water tubes so the user must switch back and forth depending on which intensifier they are using
• Both intensifiers on the Predictive line have their own drip tubes for the SMI so there is no need to swap those. It is important to note that the left side of one intensifier will actually be the right side of the other as seen by the SMI.
• The Predictive line top cover-frame interface is slightly different because there is no rim on the top deck of the Predictive pumps as on the old-style S-series products
