XPR® rotational sleeve available

The new rotational sleeve for the XPR product line improves both its positional accuracy and industrial robustness. This new rotational sleeve is designed to serve as a key enabler for successful robotic or bevel applications.

The rotational torch sleeve works with all XPR systems. The rotational sleeve enables the torch manipulating device to rotate 360° around the torch and lead set while they remain in a fixed position without twisting, substantially reducing wear in bevel and robotic applications.
The new design features several significant improvements that address issues experienced with the existing HPR rotational sleeve design. By increasing the diameter of the sleeve to 76 mm, we were able to increase its wall thickness, eliminating the issue of compression due to clamping. This also enabled us to use pre-sealed, high precision bearings. The use of these bearings allowed us to significantly reduce axial play (by 90%) and radial play by (81%) compared with the HPR design. These bearings and other design features effectively keep out dirt and other particulates associated with industrial plasma cutting, greatly extending the life of the sleeve and lead system, especially when paired with our specialized robotic/bevel lead sets.
In addition to design improvements, we now provide sleeves in more than one length to work in a variety of system types and applications. These are the 3 options:

Finally, all rotational sleeve assemblies come with a bracket for greater mounting flexibility. If not needed, this bracket is easily removed.
