XPR Rev. J Firmware available effective October 26

Effective on October 26, 2018, a new revision of our XPR firmware, Rev. J, will be available for download from Xnet. As was true with Rev. H, customers may update via the Wi-Fi function rather than having to go into the power supply and transfer files via a USB thumb drive. The revision J firmware contains several important changes, including those relating to the launch of the new XPR170.

In addition to differentiating between an XPR300® and XPR170® on the Wi-Fi display, reflecting the launch of this newest addition to the XPR family, the new revision firmware enables the 50 amp True Hole process on mild steel.

All enhancements enabled by the new rev. firmware are listed below:

1. Wi-Fi web server crash fix
2. RS422 multi-drop fix
3. Wi-Fi web page no longer displays the XPR300 on the browser title when using XPR170 systems. Other XPR300 v. XPR170 differentiators have already been developed and executed in earlier software revs.
4. Rev. M cut chart database – 50 amp True Hole process enabled. 170 amp 20mm (3/4”) and 130 amp 6mm(1/4”) True Hole records added.
5. Uprevved OptiMix console operation for both XPR300 and XPR170 (we will be communicating more information on this through other channels).

To ensure the most efficient operation of an XPR system, users should be sure to upgrade to the latest software across all components.
