EDGE® Pro CNC Product Family End of Production

We would like to inform you about the end of production for all versions of the EDGE Pro product family (EDGE Pro, MicroEDGE Pro and EDGE Pro Ti). As of today, all available inventory has been exhausted, and production has been concluded.

The end of life of Microsoft Windows XP and the launch of our EDGE Connect platform were primary drivers for the phase out of this product line that we first informed you about last year. In accordance with our standard policy, we will continue to provide support for seven years after the date of last production. Under our agreement with Microsoft we can still service all Windows XP licenses that are now in the market. Replacement hard drives with a complete Windows and Phoenix image are available and covered by the Windows license provided with the CNC.

EDGE Connect is the successor of the Pro Series CNCs. This next generation CNC platform is built upon the EtherCAT protocol. Many of our cutting machine partners have already transitioned and we continue to see others moving onto the new platform. For customers with analog communications and those using EDGE Pro Ti, we will assist with the digital transition.

For the remainder of 2018, there is a possibility that a few refurbished EDGE Pro CNCs may become available. These will be noted in the Refurbished Inventory category of XNet without notification. Volumes are expected to be low and configurations will vary.

Sale tools and web pages for EDGE Pro CNCs will remain active until the end of the year to support ongoing partner sales.
