As you may know the following will be applicable from Jan 1, 2021 onwards:
After the transition period, the UK Government will operationalize import controls on goods moving from the EU to GB, in a manner similar to the UK’s current treatment of Rest of World (RoW) goods. These controls will be introduced in three stages: January, April, and July. It is expected that the EU will also ope-rationalize full import controls on goods moving from Great Britain to the EU from 1 January 2021* (see links in footnote).

Obviously, both our companies have interest to ensure a smooth export/ import process in order to continue the high level of service to our common customers / end users which we are currently delivering.
For this we would like to understand your readiness to import Hypertherm goods.

2) Do you already have a broker** or do you plan to have a broker in place to support your importation process as of January 1, 2021?
– If yes, please provide details of your broker for ease of communication.
– If no, what will be your alternative suggestion?
Sometimes currently Hypertherm support a ‘drop ship’ solution (A-B-C transaction). With the UK leaving the EU, this process requires additional procedures.
3) Hypertherm may not be able to provide this service in the future because of Brexit

Due to expected disruption at the port of entry re-Brexit.
